מצבי מוצא, קיהון ושמות ומספרי הקאטות בשיטות הנלמדות ומתורגלות בהתאחדות:

 

Kamae : jo

  1. Tsune no kamae
  2. Honte no kamae
  3. Gyakute no kamae
  4. Hikiotoshi no kamae

 

Kamae : bokuto

  1. Seigan no kamae : bokuto pointed at the eyes
  2. Jodan no kamae : bokuto above the head
  3. Hasso no kamae : bokuto aside the head to protect the temple
  4. Wakigamae: bokuto low at the side backward

 

Kihon

  1. Honte Uchi: striking with the hand in a basic position
  2. Gyakute Uchi: striking with the hand in a reverse position
  3. Hiki Otoshi Uchi: draw the jo back and strike
  4. Kaeshi Tsuki: reverse the weapon and thrust
  5. Gyakute Tsuki: high thrust, the hand in a reverse position, to basic strike
  6. Maki Otoshi: to drop down with an enveloping movement
  7. Kuri Tsuke: to guide and stick the weapon against the body (basic trap)
  8. Kuri Hanashi: to guide and let go (backward throw away)
  9. Tai Atari: to crush in the body (push away)
  10. Tsuki Hazushi Uchi: deflect a thrust and strike
  11. Do Barai Uchi strike on a sweeping action to the torso
  12. Tai Hazushi Uchi to evade with the body and strike
